Key to A Summary of End-Time Events

(1)  The United States becomes a more integral part of Babylon, the fourth Beast of Daniel 7:7, dreadful, terrible, exceedingly strong, with iron teeth and ten horns.  This is the “world government” under the auspices of the United Nations, the ten regions being (1) North America (via NAFTA), (2) South and Central America, (3) Western Europe (the EU), (4) Russia and Eastern Europe, (5) Japan, (6) Australia and South Africa, (7) North Africa and the Middle East, (8) Tropical Africa, (9) South and Southeast Asia, and (10) China.  Israel (especially Joseph: the United States and British Commonwealth) is overtaken and ruled by “Beast” forces.  The United Nations is the template for this end-time Babylon, headquartered in New York City.  Jerusalem becomes the “capital of the world,” with all faiths under a single head.

(2)  With the peace treaty brokered by the evil prince (Daniel 9:26) under United Nations supervision, and property in the temple area given to the modern nation of Israel, a temple is constructed (Isaiah 28:14-18; Daniel 11:28-30).  Later (3.5 years), this evil prince will cause the sacrifice and oblation to end (Daniel 9:27).

(3)  The Antichrist, a “vile person,” obtains the kingdom by flatteries (Daniel 11:21).  The King of the South fights against the Antichrist (modern Babylon) with a large army but is not successful (Daniel 11:25).  Next, the Antichrist returns with “great riches” (acquisition of oil rights?) to his won land, and he again moves against the King of the South, but “Rome” (Ships of Kittim, the EU?) causes him to return and be indignant with the Arab-Israeli covenant (Daniel 11:30).

(4)  During this time of the first four seals, much plunder occurs across the earth, as outlined in Matthew 24:6-12: wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, pestilences, martyrdom, and the love of many will wax cold.  Also, the gospel of the Kingdom (government) of God will be preached in all the world as a witness unto all nations before the end of the age comes (Matthew 24:14).

(5)  The time of the Great Tribulation, a time so heartrending that all people on earth would die unless the Eternal would intervene: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And unless those days were shortened no flesh would be saved, but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:21-22).

An assembly of 10 Arab nations (10 kings) in Revelation 17:12 gives power and strength to the Beast; they have “one mind.” These 10 nations hate the Antichrist (“whore”) and make her desolate and naked, eat her, and destroy her with fire (Revelation 17:13-17).  Later, they make war with Christ and the saints and are defeated (Revelation 17:14).  This 10-nation group of Arab nations that surrounds Israel is a “common market” of sorts that turns and attacks the “whore” (Israel?  See Revelation 11:8), possibly due to the actions and words of the two witnesses.  With their capital at Babylon, the nations would be Tyre, Gebal, Assyria (Iraq?), Ammon, Moab, Edom, Hagarenes, Ishmael, Amelek, and Philistia (see E. Martin, “The Bible and War in Lebanon,” Associates for Scriptural Knowledge, August 17, 2006, www.askelm.com/news/n060817).

During this time the United States gives power to the United Nations via Public Law 81-297.  The “great multitude” of Gentiles is made white (Revelation 7:9-17), the saints are persecuted (Revelation 12:6), and they flee into the wilderness and are nourished for 3.5 years.  The “remnant” is persecuted (Revelation 12:17; Daniel 12:7), the Beast makes war on the saints and prevails (Revelation 13:4-7), the saints are “worn down” by the “little horn” (Daniel 7:25), and the saints will teach many, and will be killed (Daniel 11:32-35).  Israel is attacked by Satan but is helped by the “earth” (special land), which swallows the “flood” (Revelation 12:13-16).  Satan then attacks the “remnant of the saints” (Revelation 12:17).

(6)  At the beginning of the Great Tribulation — after 3.5 years of Tribulation — the “evil prince” will cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease (Daniel 9:26-27; 11:31).  At this point the “political” Beast (Revelation 13:1-10) and the “religious” Beast (Revelation 13:11-15) begin their reign.  The Abomination of Desolation is set up in the holy place (Matthew 24:15).

(7)  The seven seals are probably occurring simultaneously to some extent.  Seal One (a white horse) denotes religious persecution and false Christs; Seal Two (a red horse), war; Seal Three (a black horse), famine; Seal Four (a pale horse), pestilence that follows on the heels of famine; Seal Five, physical calamities; Seal Six, astronomical signs and earthquakes; Seal Seven, silence in heaven for half an hour, incense, lightning, voices, an earthquake, and thunder (Revelation 6 and 8).  These times are days of unprecedented trials (Daniel 12:1).

The seven trumpets are involved in the Day of the Lord (Day of Wrath).  Trumpet One, hail and fire mixed with blood, and a third of the trees are burned up, also all the grass; Trumpet Two, a great mountain is cast into the sea, and a third of sea creatures and fish die, while a third of the ships are destroyed; Trumpet Three, a great star (Wormwood) falls over a third of the rivers and fountains, and their bitter waters cause death; Trumpet Four, a third of the sun, moon, and stars are smitten; Trumpet Five, out of the bottomless pit come “locusts” that sting; Trumpet Six, four angels are loosed at the Euphrates River, with horses and a 200,000,000-man army by which a third of mankind is killed; Trumpet Seven, the resurrection (Revelation 8, 9, and 11).

(8)  At the seventh trumpet (the resurrection) and surrounding days, the two witnesses are raised after lying in the streets of Jerusalem for 3.5 days (Revelation 11:12), the King of the South will push at the “King” (Beast) in the area of Jerusalem, and the King of the North will come against the King of the South like a whirlwind, with tanks, ships, and other armaments (Daniel 11:46); he will pass over and overthrow nations, but Edom, Moab, and part of Ammon will escape (Daniel 11:41).  The King of the North will enter Jerusalem.  Yet, tidings from the east and north (Medes; Jeremiah 50:3-9; Russia, and China as well?) will trouble the King of the North, and he will go to meet and utterly destroy them (Daniel 11:44).  The King of the North will plant his throne in Jerusalem, but will meet his end (Daniel 11:45).

This entire last segment of premillennial history is a battle between Helel and Jesus Christ, Michael also working closely with Christ at this time as revealed in Daniel 12:1.  These are times as in the days of Noah, when life will go along as usual until, as the Flood swept the people away in Noah’s day (Matthew 24:37), the great cosmic and earthwide upsets in the days of the Beast will destroy many people as well.

During this time will be the Battle of Armageddon, when Jesus will stand on the Mount of Olives, one of His favorite places on earth.  The mount will cleave to the east and to the west (Zechariah 14:1-5).  Previous to this time, at the Seventh Trumpet, the saints will be raised (I Corinthians 15:51-52; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; Daniel 12:1-3) as the angels encompass the earth to expedite this great event (Matthew 24:30-31).  The saints will rise to meet Christ in the manner in which He first ascended (Acts 1:9-11).  Thence comes the marriage supper of the Lamb (Christ; Revelation 19:7-9).  After a period of 45 days at the throne of Elohim in the spirit realm (heaven), the saints return to wage war with the Beast and False Prophet to finally and utterly destroy the worldwide Babylonian system (Revelation 18:19:11-21), but during those last days the seven Vials are poured out on the Beast to severely try this system (Revelation 16): Vial One, sores on people who worship the Beast; Vial Two, the sea is turned to blood; Vial Three, rivers and fountains turn to blood; Vial Four, great heat; Vial Five, darkness in the Beast’s kingdom; Vial Six, the Euphrates River dries up for the kings of the East to pass over, and three spirits working miracles go to all the kings of the earth and gather their armies for the Battle of Armageddon; Vial Seven, a mighty earthquake, Jerusalem is divided, islands flee away, hail falls, and other calamities strike as Babylon crumbles to the ground.

Finally, the Battle of Armageddon occurs, with Jesus placing His feet on the Mount of Olives.  The armies of the Beast are destroyed, and the Beast and False Prophet are thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20).  Then Helel is chained — restrained from interfering with mankind and the earth — and thrown into the abyss, where he resides with the other evil cadre for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-3).  This will be a millennium of peace on the earth as never seen since the time of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
